Theatre Program

Welcome to the Red Chair School of Performing Arts Theatre Department. Our Theatre Department offers a series of classes that expose our students to the many facets of the performing arts, helping them gain confidence while familiarizing them with public speaking, creativity and role-playing.

All of our theatre students have an opportunity to showcase their work on stage at the end of the fall and spring sessions. The theatre program is designed for the students to develop and train in character development, theatre terminology, improvisation, solo and group chorus, memorization skills, interpretation and presentation, theatre games and backstage responsibilities.

The Red Chair offers a well-rounded Theatre education, which has classes for every level from beginners to seasoned thespians. Our theatre program begins at age 2. We offer beginning to advanced acting, musical theatre, voice training as well as workshops on auditioning, improvisation and stage makeup techniques. All classes are taught with respect and enthusiasm by seasoned theatre professionals, who inspire, encourage and challenge each student to exceed their own expectations. We provide a fun, creative and safe environment that gives children a practical forum to learn about themselves and others.
